Potatoworld is a fictitious country located within the Federal Republic of Germany. It is a “mono-cultural country with proud heritage”, partially based on towns like Weimar and Jena in Thüringen.​​​​​

Through a fabricated history and cultural identity of Potatoworld and by deliberately mishandling the past, this project is a playful yet satirical exploration of how history, memory, and storytelling construct national, cultural and collective identities.
